Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) uses gentle electrical impulses to relieve chronic pain in the back, arms, and legs. The pulses interfere with pain signals before they reach the brain.
SCS is typically considered for patients with neuropathic pain that hasn't responded adequately to more conservative therapies.
